Welcome to Ayana Shop

Ayana Magazine is a digital magazine aimed at empowering and supporting women and giving them a platform to express themselves. We explore different issues that affect women on a day-to-day basis.

Why Ayana?

We ensure that our writers are always thorough on their content, meaning that we will only use plain language on all our articles. Not only will the magazine be a learning platform, but it will serve as a support system to those who need support in certain issues like health, career, entrepreneurship, self-discovery and so much more.

In such a short period of time we have grown our audience and we hope that it keeps growing to reach a global scale of women who might be in need of the information and support our digital magazine provides. Ayana Innovative Magazine is going to be issued bimonthly from the second edition in February 2018.

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do and liking how you do it”

poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist.

About Us

Duduzile Ngwenya,

FOUNDER & MD

My passion for women empowerment gave birth to Ayana Magazine as a means to share this passion with other women. The magazine also came to exist as a result of the failure of my previous women empowerment organisation, Feminine Intuition. When the partnership I had established in my previous business failed, I decided to start something alone, so that I could continue to do what I love and enjoy the most.

The etymology behind the word Ayana is from the Ethiopian word which means a pretty flower. I also believe that women are flowers that grow in spite of their circumstances and still blossom beautifully. This is how Ayana Innovative Magazine came to be.

Our mission aims to unite and empower women by encouraging them to build a genuine sisterhood. We will have different divisions as Ayana Innovative grows; but Ayana Magazine is the main division of the company. With this digital magazine, we aim to reach out to women on a global scale, starting in Africa.
